We cannot forget that, in addition to taking care of it on the outside, it is important to act from the inside to achieve smoother skin. We must stay well hydrated and take care of our emotions.
Are you tired of having rough or dry skin? Are you sure you are taking proper care of her? And still, don’t you notice smoother skin?
If you follow the steps that we propose, we assure you that your skin will be smoother from the first day.
Why can’t I get Smoother Skin?
The first thing you should know is that many factors prevent you from having smoother skin
- Unbalanced diet.
- Bad habits, such as tobacco or alcohol.
- Excess sun exposure.
- Inadequate care.
- Stress and emotional and nervous disorders.
The first step to improving the health and appearance of your skin must go through resolving these factors.
Also, we give you some tips so that you can get it immediately.
1. Exfoliate it
When the skin is rough, it means that there is an excess of dead cells that, in turn, hinder the regeneration of the dermis.
For this reason, it is advisable to exfoliate once a week or every fortnight.
We do not recommend using synthetic scrubs since we have at our disposal different natural products that allow us to make homemade and natural peels, such as baking soda, sugar, sea salt, or coffee.
We will have to choose the finest or thickest exfoliant according to the area we want to treat.
We will always use softer exfoliants on the face than on the rest of the body.
2. Go to the beach
A trip to the beach is also a therapy for our skin since we achieve several effects at the same time:
- We exfoliate the skin thanks to the sand and the sea.
- We provide you with minerals.
- We add vitamin D to get a nice tan, as long as we do it in moderation and common sense.
3. Hydrate it
To have smoother skin and to exfoliate it, we must hydrate it since otherwise, we could dry it too much.
However, it is essential to choose a suitable moisturizing lotion for our skin type to nourish enough without leaving us oily skin.
One way to achieve this is to apply a vegetable oil just after showering, before drying off.
In this way, the skin will better absorb the product since the pores will be open due to the heat, and we can remove the excess oil with the towel. The skin will be very hydrated and without shine.
We can use oils such as coconut, almond, or jojoba, for example.
4. Drink water
The skin is hydrate from the outside but also the inside.
How? Drinking enough water throughout the day, always outside of meals, to achieve the beneficial effect we want: smoother, hydrated skin without impurities.
Our recommendation is as follows:
- Two glasses of water on an empty stomach, twenty minutes before breakfast.
- Three glasses of water throughout the morning.
- Three glasses of water throughout the afternoon.
At meals, we can also drink if we are thirsty, but it will not fulfill the function we want on the skin, and, also, if we overdo it, we will make digestion difficult.
5. Brush it daily
The dry brushing technique has more and more followers, as it is simple, free, fast, and very effective.
Brushing our skin daily, from the bottom up, always in the direction of the heart, helps us activate circulation, improve oxygenation of the skin, and combat fluid retention, cellulite, and stretch marks.
We only need a natural bristle brush and a few minutes each day.
The nervous system is closely related to the skin.
Many dermatitis and eczema problems are challenging to cure because nerve disorders cause them.
If we suffer from skin problems despite following all these steps and taking care of our diet, we must pay more attention to ourselves and analyze if we are suffering from stress for work or personal reasons.
It doesn’t always have to do with overwork. Sometimes they are emotional conflicts of the day-to-day that we carry inside and do not know how to solve.
Bach flowers, homeopathy, and medicinal plants can help us.
