Paris digitizes its Fashion Weeks

Madrid – Paris this July will have a new Fashion Weeks more digital than ever. After the decision to cancel the editions of Haute Couture Week and Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. The Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode (FHCM) has turned all its efforts into creating a new digital platform, which will allow both events to take place, yes, online finally. A new portal will support the next “Haute Couture Week Online” and the Paris Men’s Fashion Week.

Developed by the Fédération de la Haute Couture et de la Mode and the technology company Launchmetrics, specialized in the fashion sector, the new portals will be hosted within the FHCM’s domains. Thus, making them the final destination of all the generated content, from presentations to interviews and other exclusive material, during both Fashion Weeks.

Physical events replaced as Paris digitizes its Fashion Weeks

“Right now, we are at e height of the digital revolution, which Covid-19 has only accelerated,” explains Pascal Morand, executive president of the FHCM, in a statement. “The digitization of Fashion Week will never replace physical events, but it can contribute to enrich and amplify your creative expression and communication greatly.” So “I am pleased to say that Launchmetrics has certainly been the right partner to carry out this ambitious project.”

“For more than a decade,” adds Michael Jais, CEO of Launchmetrics, the company “has been supporting brands with technological innovations, and this partnership with the FHCM to digitize Haute Couture Week and Fashion Week. Men’s Fashion in Paris is just another example of our commitment to being a trusted partner in the evolution of the fashion industry itself”. “We are very excited to help the Federation of Haute Couture and Fashion connect with people from all over the world, expanding access to one of the most traditionally exclusive fashion events on the calendar.”

Different content areas with restricted areas for professionals

To speed up the platform’s usability, the new portal works in a total of 6 different areas. Certain areas will have open content, and the other regions reserved exclusively for professionals and the fashion houses themselves participating in both Fashion Weeks.

Thus we can find the area with the official calendar. In addition to consulting the schedule, we will have the option of repeatedly viewing the different firms’ parades and presentations. The area called “The magazine,” made in cooperation with the Institut Français de la Mode, and where we will find additional content provided by the fashion firms themselves and other media, such as interviews, “making of” and all different kinds of in-depth content. The “Events” section, from where you can enjoy conferences, concerts, and cultural tours, part of a range that will contain a branch reserved only for professionals. With an area reserved for the members linked to the organization. With another section devoted to fashion firms, who will enjoy a corporate space divided into two regions.
